The quartet wants to go back to basics by daring to sound closer to acoustic instruments with neat and thoughtful arrangements while remaining organic. With the integration of folk, classical, bluegrass influences, the group will surprise and touch people once again with this enriched trad! Violins, mandolin, guitar, double bass, feet and rich vocal harmonies come together to explore a multitude of emotions. Mimi O’Bonsawin is a contemporary singer from Northeastern Ontario. Through her rhythm and scripted songs, Mimi embraces the beauty of the land, while giving in to her Franco-Ontarian and Abenaki roots. In his music, you’ll find forest sounds, uplifting melodies and introspective lyrics woven with pop sensibilities and acoustic instruments. Layers of percussion and startling harmonies make you feel the music rather than just hear it.

His voice rings the urgency of living in the present moment. Cristian, former leader of the group La Luna de Santiago, does not like labels. A nomadic and polyglot troubadour, he sings in the languages that allow him to meet the world. From Colombia to Edmonton via Lac Saint-Jean or Winnipeg, Cristian de la Luna is at home everywhere. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti and one of a family of 7 children, Wesli (Wesley Louissaint) built his own guitar at age 8, from pieces of oil cans and fishing ropes of nylon. His musical adventure begins in the gospel choir of the local church and he then adopts the guitar as his main instrument. As a teenager, Wesli produced, directed and recorded the soul album Horizon with SoKute, which was a great success in Haiti and made it known abroad. In 2001, the versatile singer, multi-instrumentalist and producer chose Montreal as his home. Since then, Wesli has accompanied the greatest Caribbean artists and several big names in African music on guitar during their stay in Montreal. To sold-out crowds, he opened for Tiken Jah Fakoly and Magic System at L’Olympia in Montreal, as well as for Alpha Blondy at Métropolis. Since 2008, Wesli and his group have performed regularly on more than 50 major festival stages in Canada, in addition to touring the entire planet, offering captivating performances. Dieufaite Charles, aka Jahfaa, is an Afro-soul singer, composer and performer. Also a multi-talented guitarist, percussionist, producer and arranger, the artist mixes Afro-fusion and traditional Roots rhythms. Her voice and her presence on stage transmit a contagious enthusiasm that will charm you to end the festival!
Since her debut, Djennie Laguerre has charmed audiences on stage and on screen with her talents as an actress, dancer and storyteller. She has also been an artist in an educational setting for 15 years. Traditional Afro-Haitian storytelling show. Be ready to dance and sing in French and Creole!
